The annual Herts Development meet was held on Saturday 21st November in Borehamwood. Hoddesdon had a strong team of 9 –11 year olds representing them.
Herts Development meet is aimed at young swimmers who hope to get County-qualifying times.
Most swimmers broke their personal best records, with 9-year-old Cerys Edwards and 10-year-old Philip Wistow reaching County qualifying times. There were many medals awarded during the meet, these included Ben Warrington (10) who was awarded a gold and 2 bronze medals, Phoebe Spicer (10) another gold medal winner and Lewis King (9) who also was awarded a gold medal.
“The team were fantastic”, Janet Warrington, head coach reported “considering the event ran late into the evening, they worked really hard, enjoyed the event, and left with smiles on their faces despite it being nearly 11pm!”
